Titan Sports all-media reporter Kong Yang has been affected by the epidemic. Almost half of the players in the league have been absent this season. To make sure the games don’t get postponed, teams are signing a lot of players on 10-day contracts, and some veterans are returning to the NBA after years away from the league.Joe Johnson played for the Celtics, Chamos re-signed with the Heat, brandon Knight, Monroe, and others are back in the NBA.Now Michael Beasley, another veteran who has been out of the NBA for years, is seeking a return to the league. It is understood that his agent is already in operation and has been linked with a number of teams.Beasley is currently serving a suspension for violating the league’s drug policy. However, Beasley will be eligible to return to NBA action on Feb. 14.Beasley was the second overall pick in the 2008 heat draft.During his NBA career, Beasley has played for the Heat, Timberwolves, SUNS, Rockets, Bucks, Knicks and Lakers.Beasley averaged 22.8 minutes per game and 12.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. Beasley had a season of 19.2 points per game, but most of the time he was out of place.Today, Beasley trains in Miami, awaiting a call from an NBA team. The last time Beasley came close to returning to the NBA was during the 2019-20 season. At that time, the Nets had offered him a contract, but because of the new coronavirus, Beasley was not able to wear the Nets jersey.Beasley has seen a number of veterans return to the NBA this season, giving him renewed confidence in his NBA prospects.”I’m still a good scorer, but I’m not just a scorer. I can contribute on both ends of the floor and impact the game in different ways.”Beasley said.Beasley says the world’s view of him over the years has been riddled with questions. For one thing, these misconceptions stem from the way he plays. On the other hand, it comes from his professionalism.”The perception of me has been completely misunderstood,” Beasley said.I look at them and say what I think, or what I think to them. That’s why I don’t speak much now.I’m not who people think I am.I don’t like the idea that I live on talent without hard work. And I put so much into basketball. I practiced every day. I put so much energy, tears, mistakes, repetition. But people say I rely on talent alone, or that my career didn’t work out because I didn’t work hard enough. It kills me every day and is one of the reasons I stay in the gym every day and work harder.”That experience with the Knicks and lakers now appears to be the key to Beasley’s failure to secure an NBA contract.Especially with the Lakers, where he averaged 7.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in just over 10 minutes per game. However, Beasley on and off the court some unreasonable performance, became the lakers and his final part ways.Beasley and the Lakers, in particular, became a laughingstock when he waited on the court in his practice shorts.Beasley himself had a hard time explaining these bizarre scenes. He said he experienced the death of a loved one during that period and it was difficult to adjust in a short time.Even so, he traveled with the team and even missed his mother’s funeral.Beasley believes his professionalism is being questioned differently.”I just wanted to play for my team and the whole world was laughing at me.In my entire career, I’ve never gotten a chance to show who I am, how I can play, that I can actually help this team win.The whole world is laughing at me. I can’t lie. It hurts me.”He said.As of now, beasley’s scoring ability can still help a lot of teams, even though he’s not getting any younger.Beasley had friends around him who told him there was no need to challenge for the NBA.However, Beasley still wants a chance to prove himself.”To be honest, I don’t think people are disrespecting me, but they’re ignoring what I do with my limited time,” he says. You can try to translate my career stats to 36 minutes, and they’re all-star numbers (19.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists). The way I look at my career is I never got a chance to play more than a few minutes.”It’s worth noting that beasley’s chances are up in the air at a time when fewer players in the league are unable to play due to health and safety protocols. In the interview, however, Beasley went out of his way to mention Rambis by name.Rambis was the timberwolves’ head coach when Beasley played for the team.”We still keep in touch. When I was traded to Minnesota, I met With Rambis and he asked me, ‘Who are the two most successful teams over the last 20 years?’I said,’ Bulls and Lakers. And he said, ‘How did they get there?’AND I said,’ Triangle offense. Then Rambis told me he wanted me to be the center of the wolves offense.”In his first season with the Timberwolves, Beasley averaged 19.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, a career high.On another level, it reflects Rambis’ appreciation for the talented scorer. Now that Rambis is being called the lakers’ real deal, beasley might be able to return to the City of Angels.Beasley said he was really eager to get back to playing in the NBA.Not just for himself, but for his dead mother.”My mom is the one who kept me coming back to the NBA. I wish she could have seen it.”Beasley said.
